Matt Shatkin

When Matt decided to pursue playing college soccer it became clear that training at a higher level was essential to being successful on the field. Matt had done limited weight training throughout high school and had coaches that stressed plyometric training, but did not have experience working with professionals who could design a program that would help someone achieve their athletic and personal fitness goals. Matt found the Boston University Athletic Enhancement Center and began training there under Emily Carusone.  Through his training Matt learned how to improve his athletic performance and realized that helping others find their own success in their sport and lives was what he wanted to do.  Matt enjoys working with both athletes as well as helping those who do not consider themselves athletes to realize their potential to push themselves to new levels of physical fitness.  Matt played soccer at Colby College and graduated in 2009 with a major in history.  He enjoys CrossFit, kickboxing, and being active outdoors.
