Common Questions

How do I schedule an appointment for Physical Therapy?

To schedule an appointment for Physical Therapy call Train Boston at (781) 263-9993 and someone will be glad to assist you.

What should I wear?

We recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothing.

What do I need to bring with me?

For your first appointment, or initial evaluation, you will need to bring your insurance card and driver's license with you. If your doctor gave you any paperwork or documentation please bring that with you as well. You will need to fill out a New Patient Intake Packet before your first visit, so please arrive 5-10 minutes early.

What insurance plans are accepted at your facility?

Train Boston Physical Therapy accepts all health insurances!

How often will I see my Physical Therapist? How long is each appointment?

Patients are typically booked 2-3 days/week based on their individual treatment plan. The initial evaluation is booked for 1 hour. Follow-up visits are typically 30 minutes, but may be booked for 45 minutes to an hour if necessary.

Does your facility use Physical Therapy Aids?

No we do not use any Physical Therapy Aids. Patients will work one-on-one with a Licensed Physical Therapist at all times.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

If you have a Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO plan, a Tufts HMO Plan, or Neighborhood Health Plan, you will need a referral from your primary care physician. If you are a Medicare patient, you will need a prescription from your primary care or referring physician
