MICHAEL BYRNE & SUGAR WHITTAKER–Physical Therapy and Personal Training Clients
"We are a couple who have benefited tremendously from the people and programs at Train Boston. We came to know about Train Boston through personal trainer Chris Brown who we both knew and worked with during his time at Charles River Health Club in Boston. While there he helped me focus on strengthening the weakness of my right leg resulting from a brain injury. I was receiving physical therapy at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital at the time but found it lacking in the level of challenge they were providing. I improved rapidly with the addition of the strength training overseen by Chris. Michael was involved with fitness training with Chris and made great progress in that function with Chris as well."
"It was about a year later when Michael started fitness again with Chris. He had been compromised in his efforts due to back and sciatic nerve pain from a herniated disk in his lower spine. Chris diverted Michael to the physical therapy staff where he worked with Kevin Wagner to correct his body mechanics before Chris felt it safe to proceed with his fitness training. Michael had worked with two previous therapists to treat his back at Massachusetts General Hospital and had similar disappointments with his progress that I had had at Spaulding with mine. Kevin provided a dynamic and progressive program that increased Michael’s flexibility and eventually relieved his pain as well. He has made the progress necessary to once again work with Chris for fitness and for the time being splits his time with Kevin now in a prevention mode."
"Realizing there was a dramatic difference in his PT experience Michael encouraged me to try PT again through Train Boston. I was skeptical but now a believer. I work with David Balogh. Just like Michael’s experience the PT was dynamic and progressive incorporating mechanics correction and strength work. I am so happy."
"In addition to the people already mentioned there are Terry Sherman the business manager, Shayla, Jay, and Emily at the desk and other friendly faces all who contribute to the positive atmosphere and experience at Train Boston. We highly recommend Train Boston for fitness training and physical therapy and give our endorsement a 10 out of 10."
RITA BERKELEY – TRAIN BOSTON MEMBER
“For months I have been meaning to write you and tell you how amazing Train Boston is. I don't know when I have ever seen a business with so many amazing people. Terry is a long time friend and I love seeing her in such a great environment. Dave! He is more knowledgeable than the doctors I've seen in the last few years and makes pt an actual pleasure. He and Emily are so amazing that I have come to think of them as friends. I've also had a few sessions with Kevin, and have sent my son and sister to see him when they were in town. Another great guy! After Chris picked my car up out of the snow and got it out of the parking lot, I knew I had to let you know how great your staff it."
BARBARA CHERIS — TRAIN BOSTON MEMBER
“I am seventy five years old and in my second year of personal training at Train Boston. I am stronger, more energetic, more limber, and have better balance than before I started my exercise regime. The entire staff is professional, pleasant, and enthusiastic about seeing my progress. I thoroughly enjoy my hour long, twice a week sessions at this high quality facility which tailors to each individual’s needs. I hope to continue to be this active well into my eighties!”
JORDAN ANGELI, DEFENDER FOR THE BOSTON BREAKERS
“Train Boston was exactly what I needed. As an athlete recovering from knee surgery, you need someone who knows when to push you and when to tell you to let your body heal. Tim and Rob at Train Boston know that delicate balance from all their years of experience. I would always leave there not only knowing I was progressing in my recovery, but that I had people who cared about helping me get back on the field. I only wish I had more time to train there. If life ever leads me back to Boston, I know where I will be training.”
“The goal of many patients is to come back from surgery at their pre-injury level. This is why I refer to Train Boston. Their goal is to bring patients and clients beyond their expectations to new levels of performance and health – and they are very good at it.”
“Train Boston helped me re-gain confidence and increase strength and overall athleticism. The people are so incredibly caring and the atmosphere in the facility always brightened my day. I am extremely happy I had the opportunity to work with the staff at Train Boston. Great people. Great facility. Outstanding results.”
“I had two children take the Train Boston Soccer program during the Summer of 2012. A son with two years Independent School League (ISL) variety soccer experience and a daughter with hopes of making ISL varsity. My son was already strong technically but needed to improve his speed, power, conditioning and agility. My daughter needed to improve across several dimensions and regain her confidence. The Train Boston program delivered on all accounts. The small sessions helped cater the training to their individual needs and both returned to school with excellent skills and vastly improved fitness."
CHIP GOODE, GOLFER & TENNIS PLAYER
“Since I started training with your Dream Team several years ago, I have made considerable progress in my consistency, length with my driver and irons, stamina to finish strong and flexibility. In tennis, I am moving much better, covering more of the court and increased the power of my ground strokes. As a senior player, anyone who is serious about their games, should do this…they will notice a marked improvement, get in better shape and feel excited!”
JOHN KERR – HEAD COACH FOR THE DUKE MEN’S SOCCER TEAM
“I want to thank you very much for an interesting and enlightening program. It really was time well spent, even if the exercises almost killed me! It would have been so helpful if the coaches on our team had the level of knowledge that you have. I would not have needed so many surgeries.”
KELLY SMITH, FORWARD – MIDFIELDER FOR THE BOSTON BREAKERS
“I was recommended to go see Tim at Train Boston thru a teammate of mine. I was struggling with a chronic Achilles problem for over a month and it wasn’t getting any better. I looked into Train Boston and immediately felt assured by speaking and receiving treatment from Tim and Rob. I knew I was going to be on the mend and back on the field soon. I wish I would have known about Train Boston sooner.”
THOMAS CLAIBORNE, BOSTON COLLEGE STANDOUT & BOSTON COLLEGE ALUMNI FOOTBALL PLAYER
“After my back injury, I had to work extremely hard to ensure that my body was prepared for the Lockout to end and Train Boston’s commitment to get me back in physical shape was evident. Both the trainers and physical therapists work with you to create a specialized plan for your body and the two months I spent at their facility helped transform my body into one of a professional athlete. Train Boston in my opinion, is one of the best training facilities in the business and I will forever be grateful of their team.”
DUNCAN GRATTON, GOLFER
"I began working out at Train Boston in January, 2011. I initially came for physical therapy for chronic low back pain, which I had endured for over 20 years. My back was in almost constant pain and I couldn’t sit or drive my car for any extended period of time. Training twice a week for an hour I noticed improvement very rapidly and by springtime I was pain-free. In the summer of 2011 I enjoyed a complete summer of golf without any pain at all. It really felt like a miracle. The great thing about the Train Boston program was that the physical therapist and my personal trainer communicated with each other about my issues and came together on a plan of action."
"The staff at Train Boston was always enthusiastic and professional. I really felt like I had a team working for me. Whenever I had a setback the team adjusted my workouts. I always felt that I was in good hands, working with professionals who knew what they were doing. I had fun every time I went for a training session. Now a year later I am completely pain free but am committed to continuing my training sessions to stay healthy and strong. I would recommend Train Boston to anyone who has a physical ailment or to someone who just wants to get in shape in a fun but serious environment.”
ROOSEVELT COLVIN — TWO-TIME SUPER BOWL CHAMPION
"In 2007, I broke a bone in my foot which contributed to my release from the Patriots at seasons end. My first day with Train Boston I didn't know what to expect. After meeting the team, discussing their experience with profesisonal athletes and going through a few sessions, I felt comfortable putting my faith in the training program they were designing
for me. Upon completion I was able to sign a multiyear deal with a team and have confidence in being able to perform on the same level I had in previous years. At the end of the day, Train Boston's professionalism, knowledge of my situation and abiity to help me sharpen my skills as a Pro football player makes them the #1 choice for training of any kind."
LAURA GOODE, TENNIS PLAYER
'I have been coming to Train Boston for two years and I have to say that of all of the clubs we have belonged to, Train Boston is definitely top notch. The training staff is outstanding and the classes I go to three days a week are incredibly rigorous but more importantly, a lot of fun! We work hard, we laugh, and I can definitely say my tennis game has improved a great deal."
CHRISTIAN FAURIA – SUPER BOWL CHAMP AND RETIRED PATRIOTS TIGHT END
“I have spent the better part of 15 years receiving care and training from various people across the country. I can tell you without prejudice that Train Boston is the best in its field and on the cutting edge of what’s new and beneficial to all of their clients, especially those at the professional level."
